Here is our latest success stories ...
Cory D. Maracle

Cory D. Maracle approached Kagita Mikam in early April to apply for funding to enroll in the "Professional Class "AZ" Transport Driver Training Program.  He has successfully completed that and has his diploma.

More importantly, he was also successful in securing employment.  He went to work immediately upon his graduation from the training.  He is working for LMB as a Transport Driver.  Cory was funded through the Youth budget.  Cory was a great client.  He never missed sending in his time sheets.  He paid everything himself basically except for tuition which you paid.

 Suzie Lloyd

Suzie Lloyd completed her hair design training in June of last year.  She did well and the school was proud of her accomplishments.

Suzie was another client that she and I had a hard time convincing KM that she should be funded.  So after appeals, KM finally agreed with Suzie.

She made her efforts pay off.  She was successful.  She completed and is currently employed using that training as an apprentice hairdresser at "The Cutting Edge" beauty salon in Napanee.  I visited with her today and she is great.  I had the opportunity to watch and listen as she dealt very effectively with her clients.

She did remember to send her thanks via me to you.

 Tim Barnhardt

Police College Diploma

Tim Barnhardt received his badge on May 10th at a ceremony in downtown Toronto at Nathan Phillips Square.  He is a police constable with the Toronto Police Service and he started working on May 13th.

 Kaycie

Kagita Mikam provided some of the funding for Kaycie to attend and continue her modeling career.

MariaMaria Montgomery

Maria Montgomery became a client of Kagita Mikam in the early fall of 2006.  While on Maternity Leave,  She wanted to take training in the Office Administration field so she met with our employment counsellor to discuss her training options.

Approximately 2 weeks later, she was referred to Corrections Canada for an interview for a 6 month term position as an Administrative Assistant.  She was the successful Candidate.

After the completion of her contract with Corrections Canada, Maria entered into the Office Administration Program and in October 2007 she graduated and was hired back with Corrections Canada.

"I know things are looking up because I now have a strong foundation to build from, thanks to everyone at Kagita Mikam."
